Our holiday cottages are all rural on the outskirts of Baarlo or Sevenum.
It is a beautiful area for wonderful walks or cycling. There are also many nice places to visit in the area. See our tips below.

With the kids: Toverland Sevenum and Irrland (just across the border in Germany), Playing at Boer Bart's Boebadoe farm, Zooparc Overloon, Aardbeienland Horst, Speeltuin Roeffen Mart (free), playpark Klein Zwitserland Tegelen, Monkey town Venlo, climbing park Fun Forest, on Sundays the World Pavilion Steyl is really a must, Mind mystery in Horst, Fun & entertainment Center in Sevenum, picnicking and building sandcastles at the Maasstrandje near the weir in Baarlo.

Fun villages: Steyl, Arcen (Hertog Jan Brewery, Grain Roastery de IJsvogel and ice cream parlour Clevers), Kessel, Broekhuizenvorst, Brüggen, Asparagus village Grubbenvorst, Baarlo has several nice shops like: the home and flower shop Roze Engel. Sevenum has a cosy centre with the well-known fashion centre Jansen Noy.

Fun cities: Venlo, Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Roermond (with designer outlet), Maastricht, Essen and Düsseldorf can all be reached within an hour by car.

Wonderful nature reserves nearby: Elsbeemden (opposite the Sevenum holiday houses), Jaomerdal (Venlo), Rivierpark Baarlo-Blerick (a few minutes' walk from Wijnhuis Baarlo), Baarloose Maasdal, Grote Heide (Venlo), Schadijkse bossen (Meterik), Schuitwater (Horst), 15 minutes from Sevenum is Griendtsveen in the Peel where you can take lovely walks and National Park de Maasduinen is 30 minutes from Baarlo and Sevenum. The holiday homes have routes starting from the house of approx. 5 - 10 km. Via this link you can create your own route from the holiday houses.

Museums: Museum de Locht, Limburgs museum, Aircraft museum in Baarlo PS Aero or Jo's museum (opposite Wijnhuis), Castle Keverberg in Kessel.

(Group) activities: Limburg vlaai (flan) baking workshop at Artvlaai in Horst, Group activities in Sevenum, Group activities in Kessel, Group activities in the Boekend, Creative in Sevenum (walking distance from the holiday homes), Escape room in Panningen or Boekend, E-choper hire at Maashof, Solexen hire in Kessel, plan a sports lesson with Buitenzinnen or play code Keverberg (treasure hunt) at Kasteel Keverberg in Kessel. Do a Huskey tour, go paintball in Sevenum, at the Vermaekerij in Maasbree you can go bowling, shuffling or indoor jeu de Boules. You can combine golf with good food at Kapelkeshof, laser gaming or airsofting at Area 077.

Swimming: indoor pool Centerparcs Het Meerdal, indoor pool and day beach de Schatberg in Sevenum, outdoor beach at Blue Lagoon near Venlo across the border or go to the free day beach Kasteelse bossen in Horst.

Water sports: rent a sloop in Kessel on the Maas (our guests receive a 10% discount, ask us for the discount code), water skiing or wakeboarding in Sevenum, canoeing between Tienray and Wanssum.
